Radu Tesaro Kirby was born in Prague, where she spent her childhood, though she also spent part of her life in South Bohemia. She currently lives and works in Tábor.

From 1986 to 1997, she studied piano at the Folk School of Arts, which significantly influenced her sense of rhythm, harmony, and atmosphere—elements that later found their way into her visual art. Starting in 1997, she began traveling extensively and lived for extended periods in places such as New Zealand, Germany, and Canada.

In 2001, she moved to Toronto, where she devoted herself fully to studying classical painting and drawing at the Michael John Angel Studio. This period significantly shaped her technical skills and her approach to realistic painting.

After returning from Canada, she moved to Zambia in 2004, where she lived, created, and exhibited her work for nearly five years. The African environment became one of the main sources of inspiration for her work.

The artist works primarily in oil on canvas, and her signature technique involves using a palette knife, which allows her to create a distinctive texture and energy in the layers of color. African motifs frequently appear in her paintings—portraits of people, landscapes, and wild animals. In addition to these themes, she also explores sports-related subjects, which bring dynamism and movement to her works.

Radu Tesaro Kirby regularly participates in exhibitions and art shows around the world. Her works have been presented in galleries and cultural institutions in Europe, Africa, North America, and the Middle East.
