Tomash Vojta

I draw inspiration from the forests of the Šumava Mountains and my journeys to deserts, primeval forests, and the wild corners of our beautiful planet. I have been painting in oils for more than twenty-five years and am the recipient of the Franz Rumpler Award in the painting category. My work is strongly influenced by surrealism, philosophy, human systems, and the processes of nuclear physics. Through oil paintings and short poems, I strive to look behind the curtain of everyday experiences. To reveal the mystery of how space reacts to my presence and to capture a few of the realities that are constantly being created. I paint all my works using master-quality oil paints. They are finished with a final coat of damar varnish, mounted on a high-quality frame that complements the atmosphere of each painting, and, of course, accompanied by poems, which you can find in my two collections.
