Description
Gyotaku is a Japanese method of preserving the memory of a caught fish by means of its partial imprint and subsequent finishing with a brush. I have adopted this method only partially, and I try to complete and bring the picture to life with minimalist elements. This particular fish is a river perch, and we caught it on the Orlík Reservoir with my son Matěj, whom I am teaching to fish. The perch is contemplating taking a drag on a cigarette.
