Description
I am drawn to simple still lifes and the quiet purity of minimalism, a style that emerged in the late 1950s as a counterpoint to abstract expressionism. I paint my realistic works using traditional techniques of the old masters, where the painting is created by gradually applying multiple layers of oil and transparent glazes. This process creates subtle, complex shades that are born from the optical blending of pure colors. In this monochromatic still life, I explored the harmony of ochre tones to reveal the beauty of simplicity. Each object
