The painting "Quiet Return" was created as part of my ongoing project "Déjà Vu". A familiar image returns, but altered to such an extent that recognition becomes uncertain. I am drawn to the fragile moment when memory still preserves form, but resemblance begins to dissolve. This work emerges from that in-between space where what we think we know becomes something else, and where meaning is conveyed by intuition rather than likeness.
