This painting is part of my extensive collection of paintings titled *Little Women*. The *Little Women* collection was inspired by a play that was being performed at a theater at the time. It depicts women—sisters—in various life situations. Hair flowing upward and to the sides symbolizes the various thoughts that escape from everyday life into a mind full of fantasy and color. I have nearly 20 works with similar themes in various sizes in this collection.
