Description
The colors aren’t calculated here. Blue, pink, orange, and green intertwine like overgrown bushes that no one prunes. There isn’t a single flower on a stem. There is the density of summer, before it becomes a scene.
Subject: a formless expanse on the edge of a garden. An all-over composition; the eye wanders, finding no place to “read” the image to its conclusion. The light is in the color, not in the sky.
Style: lyrical abstract expressionism. Impressionistic acrylic, short, broad strokes, overpainting. Close to abstract impressionism: the mood of vegetation, not botany.
From a distance, a warm, vibrant wall. Up close, layers; a clash of blue and rusty orange; signature in the lower right corner.
Suitable for the living room and dining room. It works well on a large surface and becomes even more intense when paired with wood or linen.
Original.
