Description
Here, colors do not translate into objects. Gray anchors the surface, while pink and yellow tear at it; blue appears only briefly. The painting is about the movement of the brush and how the layers overlap before settling down. The viewer is meant to feel both restlessness and softness, as if fog were meeting warmth.
Gestural abstraction; expressive painting. No. 211.
