Description
The painting covers an 80×80 square with a thick layer of acrylic: at the top, a dark graphite-green “coating”; on the right, emerald and turquoise; in the middle left lies a heavy orange-rust-colored blotch, like a smoldering edge or a flash behind the fog. A thin, light vertical line stretches down from the top edge, almost like a thread, almost like a streak of light. The lower part transitions into a cool blue-gray color with scratched strokes; in the center, the paint has been scraped away to reveal a gray-ochre base. It is neither a landscape nor an object: the warm spot holds the composition together, while the cool areas temper it.
Technique: acrylic, layered painting (glazing + broad brushstrokes + scraping) Materials: canvas on panel, acrylic
An abstract field of color, with a dark green upper section, an orange horizontal accent on the left, a cool blue-gray lower section, and a thin vertical line at the top.
Suitable for: a living room or study with warm wood and calm walls (graphite, olive, sand); ideally, one wall without colorful patterns, at approximately eye level.
In person: the orange section reveals texture and dense brushstrokes; in green and gray, there is a thin layer through which the grain of the canvas shows through; when viewed under side lighting, the solid areas have a subtle sheen, while the scraped areas appear matte. Minor drips and an uneven edge of the paint layer at the edges may be present; these are traces of the artist’s work, not flaking of the substrate.
