Description
The yellow here isn’t the sun. It’s a field that someone has trampled on.
Black spots tear at it, white lifts it up, and purple trips it up from below. The surface has no center for the eye to reach and rest upon. It has only temperature and impact.
From a distance, a rich yellow square.
Up close, a layer of paint, a scratch, the signature “J. Kameníček.”
For the living room and entryway. Next to a gray wall, the yellow will come alive. Next to other yellow furniture, it will scream—give it some breathing room.
Original.
