Description
Meadow Tones and Light, watercolor on paper, 28 × 38 cm. “Meadow” captures the mood of a meadow, not a botanical list. The watercolor allows the paint to seep and the light to spread, so that the grass and flowers appear vivid without needing to be named. The small format keeps the scene close up, like a glimpse into the grass. The viewer is meant to feel the warmth, the movement of the air, and the energy of a place that needs no staging.
