In Quechua, “Allpaqa Nuqanchikpaqmi” means “The Earth is ours.”
A classic Native American proverb states: “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. Humans are the fruit of Mother Earth, and she is sacred. She gives life. Above is the sky with its eternal stars.” This is the most famous message from the indigenous peoples, reminding us of our responsibility to protect the environment and natural resources for future generations.
“Only when you have cut down the last tree, poisoned the last river, and caught the last fish will you realize that money cannot be eaten.”
This powerful Native American proverb emphasizes the interconnectedness of humans and nature. We are separated from nature only in our minds, in our imaginations. In reality, harmonizing and ethereal energies flow through us, emanating from forests, rivers, and hills.
