The Prague Zoo is successful in breeding gorilla cubs, visitors love to watch their bustling activity in the Dja exhibit. The cubs are playful, performing their tricks for example on the back of their mother, where they are in the greatest safety. To depict the black fur of gorillas, the technique of scratching black ink on chalk paper seemed appropriate to me. The pen drawing also captures the fresh branches that the animals nibble on.
