With this painting, I wanted to capture the archetypal theme of sailing, but in a completely new, expressive light. For me, a ship is not just a means of transportation, but a symbol of the human soul, sailing through unknown space, facing the elements, and searching for its own center. The central element of the composition is the sturdy, earthy, crescent-shaped hull of the ship. From it, bursts of vibrant turquoise color shoot out and overflow. I perceive these dynamic droplets as streams of energy, splashing waves, or sparks of creative power that propel the ship forward.
In the midst of it all, a small yellow dot shines—a sun or a lighthouse—serving as a steady point of reference and a symbol of hope. For the background, I chose soft, muted greenish and ochre tones with reflections that create a dreamlike, almost mystical atmosphere. The contrast between the calm background and the rough, prominent structure of the ship adds depth and tension to the work. I believe this painting will bring powerful energy, determination, and constant inspiration into your home as you navigate your own life’s journey.
