Description

When I was creating this work, I wasn’t looking for defined shapes, but rather a pure sensation. I wanted to capture on canvas that fleeting moment when a person disconnects from the noisy reality and lets their mind drift out onto the endless ocean of their own desires. For me personally, this painting is a map of an inner journey. The blue and turquoise layers represent the depths of our souls and thoughts, while the flashes of gold and warm ochre are sparks of hope that drive us forward. In the white layers of the texture, you can make out the outline of a ship. It is an ark that each of us carries within ourselves to protect what is most precious—our dreams. Nothing on this canvas is definitive.

Shapes deliberately fade and reemerge beneath layers of paint, just as when we wake up in the morning and try to hold onto a fading dream in our memory. For me, this painting represents absolute freedom. The freedom to sail in any direction, without fear of a storm, with the pure faith that the destination of our journey exists. The work is created using a layered technique with an emphasis on rich texture and dynamism, thanks to which it changes with every shift of light. I believe it will bring peace, harmonious energy, and inspiration to your space as you pursue your own dreams.
