Among other things, this painting is one of a series of three paintings in which I tried to recall a photograph I took in high school. I later rediscovered it and tried to repaint it. The painting is inspired by the memory of a specific photograph. I remember that there was a vase of peonies on the table, a bed behind the table, and the walls of the room were orange at the time.
