Black holes are one of the most mysterious phenomena in the universe. The center of the painting is dominated by a dark, impenetrable spiral, symbolizing the gravitational core itself, which pulls in everything that comes near it. The surrounding space is fragmented and filled with pieces of shattered stars, which in the artwork are represented by shungites—stones from the only deposit in the world, which is also considered one of the oldest. The outer spiral formations of celestial bodies bend and lose their shape in the presence of the gravitational center—this depicts the absorption of light and the relativity of time. The color and texture of the work create a contrast—highlighting the still depth of darkness and the dynamism of light. It evokes the tension between the unknown and the known, between the forces of destruction and creation. Here, the black hole is not merely an astronomical phenomenon, but also a metaphor for the human desire for knowledge, the limits of consciousness, and the infinite possibilities of the unknown.
