Cyril Cichy

Ing. arch. Cyril Cichý (1965) is a Slovak architect, designer, and visual artist.
After studying architecture and design, he traded his drawing board for the world. He traveled, worked as a tour guide, street musician, and hotel entertainer, and lived the life of an adventurer for several years—without a grand plan, but with plenty of stories.
At age 47, he decided he’d seen enough of the world, started a family, and is now the father of four children. As it turned out, that’s an adventure far more challenging than traveling the world.
Today, he designs luxury interiors, paints, experiments with various artistic techniques, creates music in his own recording studio, and tends to his garden. Architecture gave him a sense of space and composition, travel gave him stories, music gave him rhythm, and family gave him an entirely new perspective on life.
His work is, in fact, a continuation of his travels—only today he no longer travels the world. He brings the world to his canvas.
