Description
A painting on two canvases. A swan in two dimensions. From the shore, we see only a floating body. But life is happening underwater—the swan is feeding and breathing. On the Vltava riverbank, I often see people laughing at swans with only their tails peeking out of the water. Yet at that very moment, the swan is doing something that humans cannot: with its eyes open, it searches for plants underwater and feeds. There is a profound poetry in this.
