Description

An abstract organic painting on canvas, created using a combined layered technique featuring circular and gestural brushstrokes, a delicate three-dimensional texture, and a blend of green, blue, turquoise, and earthy tones.

On planet W-3, the meadow was not merely vegetation.

It was part of a single living being.

The painting depicts the garden of Ilyra, a collective of intelligent flora whose individual plants are not separate organisms but the bodies of a single vast, distributed being. Each flower perceives a different aspect of the surrounding world. One captures light, another heat, yet another the vibrations of the soil, chemical changes in the atmosphere, or the presence of an alien consciousness.

The circular shapes represent the thermal auras of the local flowers. During cold nights, they store the planet’s energy within themselves.

At dawn, they release it into the surroundings, creating long currents along which animals, ships, and even parts of Ilyr’s consciousness can move.

The blue and green lines are not merely stems and landscape. They are the garden’s nervous system. Information flows through it not by voice or writing, but through changes in color, temperature, scent, and tension in the roots.

As the ship Answer prepares to leave W-3, the meadow slowly opens up before it. The flowers return to it the warmth they absorbed during the night, creating a glowing path to the sky.

At that moment, a part of Ilyra detaches itself from the great garden.

Not as a copy.

As a real part of a living being that voluntarily enters into symbiosis with Jonah, Nara, and the ship’s life chamber. From that moment on, they will pass on to one another not only abilities and memories, but also pain, fear, and loss.

The garden closes behind them once more.

A thousand flowers remain on the planet.

One of them, however, will fly off to the stars for the first time.

The meadow did not show them the way. It became a part of it.
