Description
In the painting Yellow Escort the roles are reversed: toys, a symbol of lightness and innocence, are towing a rusty ship, the embodiment of weight, tradition and burden. With this the artist creates a metaphor of how reality can be driven by what at first glance seems powerless. The grotesque situation thus becomes an image of the transformation of forces – the weak carry the heavy, play rules over seriousness and kitsch becomes the mover.
