Description

The painting is from a thematic series provisionally called "sailboats" or "Yachts". The composition is straightforwardly clear. The painting depicts a somehow familiar, long-haired, athletic girl in a black swimsuit against the backdrop of a yacht harbor. The harbor is, for the sake of completeness, in Catalan Blanes, the yacht is called "Guardian Angel". For me, however, the multitude of curved shiny surfaces of the moored boats' hulls, the reflections on chromed parts and the water surface, and the tangle of shadows drawn on them by the late sun are inspiring. The title of the painting repeated on the stern of the ship is not original, I chose it after the eponymous composition by Karl Jenkins.
