Description
Inner Roots. Abstract painting. A beige, gold, and gray-blue surface with cracks in the center; round cells and gold fragments in the upper left corner. Mixed media on canvas, 100 × 100 cm.
Inner Roots maintains structure and stillness. The viewer is meant to feel depth, the warmth of gold, and tranquility. An original work—not a print or a copy. At 100 cm wide, it requires an unobstructed wall.
We don’t need to see the roots to know they’re there. They’re hidden beneath the surface, yet they determine what we grow from, what we carry forward, and what we return to in life. Some of them we’ve known since childhood; others we discover within ourselves much later—often at a moment when we least expect it.
The painting *Inner Roots* emerged from this personal experience of an unexpectedly discovered part of my own origins. It is more of an abstract trace of what remains present within a person, even if they cannot put a name to it for a long time.
The painting is part of the series *Whispers of the Earth*, in which I work with natural structures and their transposition into contemporary interiors. In her “Face of the Landscape” collection, she focuses on the element of earth—its layering, permanence, and stability, the traces of time, and what remains hidden beneath the surface.
