Betty Boop is a cartoon character from Max Fleischer's animated films, which - after the takeover and subsequent bankruptcy of the Fleischer studio - continued to be produced by Paramount studio. The first cartoons appeared in 1930 in the Talkartoon series; later, a stand-alone Betty Boop series followed. Betty Boop's signature trait is her sex appeal.
