I really like this forest; it has a way of making you look up, as if the trees were growing not only toward the sky, but also toward our dreams. We stand with our feet firmly on the ground, and yet our thoughts begin to float higher and higher among the golden branches, until even an ordinary autumn afternoon suddenly seems full of possibilities. I think this is exactly the kind of image we should keep close by—as a little reminder that dreams have never been very good at staying grounded. And perhaps the time has come for this image to find a new home, where it will continue to inspire someone to look up every now and then.
