Description
"City X" by Zdeněk Duron is an original work of art that depicts urban space in a distinctive surrealist and geometric style. The artist breaks down traditional architectural forms into abstract planes, irregular lines, and intertwining shapes. The result is a composition reminiscent of a mysterious city captured in a memory or a dream.
The dominant shades of gray, beige, brown, and black create a subdued, almost monochromatic atmosphere. The contrast of light and shadow, geometric structures, and irregular perspectives lend the painting depth and an architectural character. A small pink detail at the top of the composition breaks up the earthy color palette and draws the viewer’s attention.
The work comes across as a visual interpretation of the city, its hidden nooks and crannies, and its unknown stories. The title City X sparks the imagination and leaves room for personal interpretation. The painting will appeal to lovers of contemporary art, surrealism, and abstract architecture.
Thanks to its large format of 120 × 100 cm, it can serve as a striking focal point in a modern living room, home office, loft, or representative space.
