The city burns with color, not fire.
Halls and chimneys are black silhouettes. The sky is rust-colored; the plaster is peeling away. The shape holds only until the paint reclaims it.
From a distance, a reddish-brown wall with black blocks.
Up close, craquelure, splatters, spots where the white has broken through the rust.
Into the living room. Toward walnut and metal. In the series below, this is the least descriptive—leave it as a period, not as the first.
