I work at the intersection of painting and materiality. I engage directly with the canvases—through imprints of my own body, stitching, embedded objects, hidden symbols, and runes. For me, the canvas is not a neutral surface, but a space that remembers touch. I’m interested in what protects us and what hurts us, and how close these two things are to one another.
