The arts have always been close to my heart. They’ve become my life—starting with dance, then writing poetry and song lyrics, and in recent years I’ve been focusing on painting. I experiment and blend these different disciplines. I love painting abstract art. I love what abstract art represents: endless possibilities and freedom. I adore rich and vibrant colors and the liveliness of the images. I find inspiration in nature, in the colorful details of everyday life, in the paintings of my favorite artists, and in my heart. When I paint, I let my intuition and feelings guide me. I consider the process of painting to be an absolute experience and a means to relaxation, freedom, chance, and spontaneity. I paint with both acrylics and oils. I enjoy using techniques such as pouring (pouring acrylic paint), slash painting (splattering paint), and dabbing; in addition, I also like to work on the painting with my hands, a brush, a roller—basically anything that calls to me at the moment. I paint what comes from within me, but also what comes from others. I can tune into another person and imprint their energy onto the canvas. For me, it’s a magical ritual.
