Description

This painting captures the dramatic interplay between darkness and light. Warm shades of ochre, orange, and red evoke a sense of heat, energy, and transformation, while the dark foreground lends the painting depth and mystery.

I was primarily interested in capturing the atmosphere, rather than a specific place. The bold brushstrokes, layering of colors, and contrast between light and dark transform the landscape into an almost dreamlike image. Subtle accents of red and blue, hidden within the dark tones, add tension and movement to the composition.

I enjoy painting semi-abstract landscapes in which I capture the magical texture of oil paints using an almost three-dimensional impasto technique, capable of expressing the depth of every brushstroke.
