Description
A piece of wood remained after a bridge broke under a truck. After being carved, “Flame” emerged from it: the wood’s grain rises like a fire that does not burn, but simply holds its shape. A hundred years of growth and a single impact were enough to transform the wreckage into a sculpture. The viewer is meant to sense the height, fragility, and strength of the material that survived the fall and stood up again.
