Description
*Materia Silenziosa* is about matter that does not speak aloud.
On the left, the paint simply breathes; on the right, a vertical stripe emerges, marked by grooves and chalk, like an old wall or a record of time. Bologna and Champagne chalk lend the surface a dry, mineral-like calm. The viewer is meant to sense the silence, the dust of light, and the weight of the material, which pretends to be nothing.
structural abstraction; quiet material painting
