This painting was particularly challenging for me. I painted it during the worst power outages. Because of this, the work dragged on and sometimes I had to paint even with a flashlight. I don't think it improved or worsened the painting in any way, it just made it special for me. A reminder that even in the darkest times we must see beauty.
