This intricate image was inspired by my visit to equatorial Africa, in the ancient rainforests on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Everything is always green; everything is always intertwined.
The work is framed in gray wood.

veins, arteries, and trunks
lakes, seas, rivers, and clouds
stripes and non-stripes, magical planets
roots, crevices, fibers, and tentacles
water has woven them together into life, drop by drop.
