Have you always made sculptures or did you start your journey with something else?

I have enjoyed drawing and modeling all my life.For a long time I worked in a graphics studio, doing graphic work and creatingin 2D and 3D programs. Visualization, modeling and animation. The uses and teachings of this creation and work were different. I didn't get into making sculptures in the real world, in real space until later. Actually it was more of an accident, an experiment ... andbecause it was interesting and at the same time unfamiliar, I devoted time, a lot of timeto it.Gradually, I gotfamiliar withdifferent techniques and the processing of different materials. I liked working with metal the most, it's really big magic, burning iron, welding, grinding, etc. Nowadays there are amazing possibilities in terms of techniques, tools that provide opportunities for metalworking, I really like casting precious metals, but that is still in the realm of dreams, observation and admiration.Burning iron, welding etc, that's magic, that's a very strong emotion .

What is the evolution of working with metal and what do you think is the importance of Brano in the creation of sculptures?

First there is a visit and a walk around the scrap yard, there is a quantum of treasures to be found, old iron, sheet metal, leaky bits, that 's where thestory of each piecebegins , the sculpture, the painting, the frame.

What metalworking techniques do you use to create metal sculptures and how do they actually come about?

When creating sculptures I useplasma and autogen for both cutting and burning metal and conventional welding machines for joining andmodelling. I then try different metallic paints and patinas.

What do your sculptures symbolize? Are there any common meanings that you emphasize in them?

Yes, my work is mainly focused on Reciprocity. Man and Woman and their mutuality. It is an eternal and beautiful theme. Common sculptures of man and woman have their own magic.I try to create and capture that connection between them . Especially in today's "strange" times, when those classical and beautiful values are disappearing, it is important to preserve and repeat thebeautiful, the traditional, whatis created between a man and a woman, love, trust, friendship - mutual values.And my sculptures are such a small symbol of these normal, traditional values.In today's "rainbow" time, a time colourful with nonsense, it is important to stay withthe classical values and views. There is no need to invent, the world is already made up, we need to stay with classical and beautiful feelings and values. Man and Woman is a union and interplay that has no adequate substitute. Man and Woman is the maximum, there is no more. And that is why I try to transmit and preserve in my work what takes place between man and woman. It is an eternal theme, a beautiful theme. An inexhaustible theme, there is a quantum of creation and my few works hopefully contribute to this theme in a good way. Sculptures of men and women beautify the home, they create that nice and right atmosphere .

It's a beautiful theme, it can be treated in a thousand ways.

Which metal sculptors do you consider the most important?

I like the work of Igor Kitzberger, Jaromir Gargulák, Valeria Hadid, Alberto Giacometti, Gahr Robert, Gahr Stefan etc....

Could you describe the process of creating a metal sculpture from design to final form? How long does this process usually take?

It is an idea, an inspiration, a concept, a plan and a goal.

...In the beginning there is working with a sketch, withpaper or tracing paper, with a photo ...

...then you go on to work with clay, sculptingclay, making a model, a skeleton. And according to this model, the individual parts of the sculpture are graduallywelded and fired , the welding and firing alternate, here and there something has to be fired, here and there something has to be added, and so slowly, gradually, the mass, the shapes, the whole is created. ..

... then metallic paints, varnishes, patina experiments etc. ...

How long does the process take?Hours and days can't be counted in this work, time goes at its own pace, sometimes itflies unbelievably . And even the work itself is sometimes moresuccessful, sometimes less so. Sometimes it's done late into the night, time is ignored and suddenly. .. there are two in the night.... other times it is windless, the flame from the autogen is not burning, it is extinguished , and the statues and iron stand motionless, sleeping and waiting to be awakened.....

Many metal sculptures are now placed in public places, what do you think is their impact on the environment? Do you have a personal example you would like to share?

I am happy when a space, any space is decorated and complemented by some artistic element, sculpture, etc. ..when it'sinteresting, sophisticated and eye-catching.

Do you have any tips and ideas on how to place metal sculptures in the home to inspire and enhance the space?

Hmmm, so there will be no easy answer to this question :-)Every space is original and unique and whoever lives in it has their own taste and sensibilities. Space and environment reveal a lot, they evoke a feeling and atmosphere. A nice work of art, a nice piece of art - whether it is a painting or a sculpture always beautifies, complements and delights .
