Description

The moment when the victim is transformed into an instrument. Memory remains. Choice does not.

I do not perceive the jellyfish as a character or a symbol of revenge, but as a state. A state in which memory remains, but a return is no longer possible.

As a consequence of a situation in which a person must become an instrument in order to continue to exist. What was human remains preserved as memory—separate, preserved, present.

The serpent’s eyes are not protection, but a mechanism of surveillance that ensures the boundary is never crossed again. Medusa’s half-closed eye does not turn outward. It gazes inward toward the place where the awareness of who she was remains ever-present.

This image is not about resistance or revenge. It is about a state in which memory remains alive, but choice is no longer possible.
