Among other things, this painting is one of a series of three paintings in which I tried to recall a photograph I took in high school. I later rediscovered it and tried to repaint it. This painting is inspired by that very photograph. The painting is an attempt to capture the moment of one sunny afternoon. A memory of the moment when a person is just waking up from sleep, the light gently falls on their face, and still half in a dream they get up so as not to miss the whole day. Tich
