Description

A layered technique, with distinctive use of texture and impasto paint application.

At first glance, it resembles a city: blocks, passageways, walls, streets, and dark nooks. In the world of War of the Universes and the Mimoverse, however, none of these structures is a real building.

It is a living city that takes on physical form.

Its inhabitants long ago ceased to distinguish between organism, machine, and architecture. When they need new space, they do not build it. They let it grow. Each colorful block is a living vessel that can simultaneously be a house, an organ, a thoroughfare, and the body of an intelligent being. As the city lives, streets shift, walls change their function, and entire neighborhoods can leave their places and merge into a single organism.

The turquoise and green structures form the city’s younger, active layers. The dark areas represent its ancient fabric, in which the memory of previous generations remains preserved. The red lines are not boundaries; they are places where individual bodies communicate with one another.

When the heroes approach this world, they first look for its inhabitants. Only later do they realize that the inhabitants are all around them.

For they are looking at a civilization that no longer needs to live in a city.

It has become the city itself.
