Mgr. Nicol Rubá Vošmíková RUBART is a professional sculptor and creator of object installations. She is the inventor and holder of the certified POLYADIC N-ary SD-2™️ technology, under which she is the only person in the world to create anomalies —monoliths made of canvas, up to 200 cm deep, designed to hang on a single nail, durable, with their own optical matrix, which influence the viewer’s mind before they have a chance to make up their mind, tactile, and weighing as much as a cat (5 kg).

The work of Mgr. Nicol Rubá Vošmíková, RUBART, represents a comprehensive artistic, scientific, and research syntax that disregards established categories of sculpture, painting, and installation, defining its own gravitational field. Across scales, disciplines, and formats, it operates according to a common principle: the work does not convey a single, fixed piece of information. It carries multiple layers that are true simultaneously but cannot be read simultaneously. Each work is a unique, irreproducible anomaly, complete with a technical data sheet, an NFT stamp for verification, and full certification of materials. Her works are complete upon creation, but their qualities are formed only through perception, when the space and the viewer become part of them.

What does the eye see before the mind realizes what it is looking at?

The works do not require architecture; they are free from interference with it and are not dependent on it; they are autarchic—they carry their own effects with them.

Nicol phenomenologically explores pre-semantic perception and viewer engagement. Recognition is disrupted; attention becomes focused, and the surrounding information field recedes into the background. Paradox, scale, proxemics, and time are not separate themes here, but components of a single perceptual system.

Thermodynamic decay is not extinction, but rather a creative principle and ontological foundation, in which the process involves a change in state, temperature, and subsequent destruction. The energy released during decay returns to the system and contributes to the reorganization of matter and an increase in its degree of order. The result is a reduction in information noise and a decrease in entropy: a visual and mental stillness that focuses attention on the presence of the artwork.

A recognizable artistic style is not limited solely to relief, the degree of figurativeness, spatiality, color, or medium. It permeates the way of thinking, the construction, and the coherent system, in which the present is not separated from the past but continues its physical and cultural transformation, like a living chain. Permanent structures of architectural scale that maintain an active continuity of time and, through their resilient tactility, offer a chance to bring art closer even to people with visual impairments.

Matter here does not serve as a means of explanation. It is the argument itself.

When Nicol faced those darkest nights alone—because everyone she trusted had disappeared and her life was shaken to its core, because she had hit rock bottom so hard that she was losing herself— she realized that the only thing she could never lose was herself, and that the only thing no one could take from her was her sign language—which she had humbly kept hidden for over 13 years—and it is precisely in her work that her process-based know-how is concealed: no cavities, no fillers, and no molds. She thus returns to traditional art, where shortcuts and digital concepts do not exist.

An internationally recognized artist, she began her professional career on January 5, 2026, with recognition from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic; among her selected achievements are: Attestato di Merito Premio Artista Europa and being a triple finalist for Curatone.Art Berlin, 3rd place at the Romantica exhibition in Canada; she has curated more than 30 exhibitions, published over 20 ISSN/ISBN publications, and had her work selected for the MAXXI and MUST museums, Art Fair London, Dubai Art Fair, and across Venice, Berlin, New York, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.

The BABYLON series is a cohesive body of work, and she is currently working on the series METATRON ZOLDAMEDA, I’M O.K., and MILLLIE, which feature exclusively plaster sculptures and fragments of her work to make her art more accessible.

Born on March 10 in Opava. Raised in the spirit of the architects who shaped the new face of Ostrava (Ing. Arch. J. Rubý) and her grandmother, the painter Mgr. Dagmar Rubá, Nicol carries on the family legacy. She also builds monuments, but her hands speak a language that cannot be found in books.

She graduated from Charles University with a degree in law and from the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava. She is the proud mother of her daughter Valentina and her dog Ziriel Dilbat Ruby.
