Zdeněk Duroň

I am a painter and architect. I have been involved in painting and the visual arts since high school. After high school, as part of my preparation for the entrance exams at the Faculty of Architecture in Prague, I took a number of art courses under the guidance of academic painters and instructors. At the Faculty of Architecture, the curriculum included drawing and painting—both still lifes and portraits, as well as figurative painting and drawing from live models in the studio. The curriculum also included plein air painting (landscapes, architecture).

I draw inspiration from nature, human relationships, historical events, social and societal themes, literature, and fiction... Among artistic movements, I particularly enjoy Surrealism and Impressionism, for example.
