Meditative Object N°02 (Meditative Object No. 02)

Description

In a vast blue expanse, a red drop hovers above the low horizon of golden hills—a concentrated symbol of power. A smooth gradation from deep, dark tones to the illuminated horizon opens the painting up to vertical depth and transforms the small motif into the dominant focal point of the entire composition.

The ambiguity of its form combines the weight of the falling drop with the upward momentum of a flame. Movement thus unfolds between two opposing directions, while the golden outline connects the central symbol with the landscape. The multi-layered framing encloses the scene within an autonomous pictorial field and emphasizes the work’s iconic nature.

The compositional weight is determined by the contrast in scale: the small red shape dominates the vast expanse of blue. The space between the drop and the ground becomes an active part of the image; the horizontal rhythm of the colored layers balances the vertical orientation of the symbol and brings the whole composition into a state of calm.
