Description
Set against a bright blue background is an element consisting of three continuous lines. It can be interpreted as the Qian 乾 trigram—Heaven—from the I Ching, though similar symbols also appear in other systems. Its precise and unchanging geometry contrasts with the fluid watercolor environment, in which the color dissolves, thickens, and transitions into light, cloud-like areas.
The work connects Chinese cosmological symbolism with thematically related motifs from Eastern philosophy. The three levels of the symbol give the composition a clear rhythm while enhancing the sense of open, almost infinite space.
The gold line emphasizes the symbol’s autonomy, while the red and gold framing separates the inner field of the composition and transforms the image into a space of focused contemplation.
