Description

This work combines a stylized landscape with the principles of geometric composition inspired by sacred artistic traditions. The composition is structured as a coherent system of interconnected proportions, in which color fields, frames, vertical lines, and the distances between individual elements are all governed by a unified numerical structure. The dimensions of the canvas, the inner scene, and the individual elements are based on the ratios 108, 54, 36, 18, 9, and 3—numbers that hold significant meaning in yoga, Tantra, and other Eastern traditions.

Three cypress trees form the central axis of the composition. They can be perceived as trees, archetypal verticals, or as a symbol of the trinity, one of the fundamental principles of many philosophical systems. The sun, water, and the vertical lines of the cypress trees together create a stylized space in which natural motifs take on a symbolic dimension, and the composition functions as a unified whole based on proportion, rhythm, and color.

A multi-layered frame defines the boundaries of the painting and separates its interior space from the surrounding environment, thereby transforming the landscape into an autonomous field of focused attention. In this sense, the painting draws on the tradition of Tantric painting, in which geometry, proportion, and color represent active elements of the visual language that collectively shape the way the work is perceived.
